VideoCare connects the elderly with remote caregivers, including family, friends and professionals, via a touch-screen system that’s incredibly easy to use. Family and friends interact with the care recipient using their own computers, tablets and smartphones — no special hardware or software is needed.
Care Professionals know that the elderly often have difficulty with technology. In fact, 70% of people over the age of 75 don’t use a computer or a smartphone. That’s why we’ve developed VideoCare. It is a system so simple that even people with significant memory loss can easily use it. There are never more than a few choices, and all management of the system is handled remotely through the Web by the caregiver.
VideoCare allows professional caregivers to remotely visit care recipients without the inefficiency of driving. Care recipients can be checked on multiple times per day at a fraction of the cost of an in-person visit. Care directors can check in with on-site caregivers, making sure that the desired level of care is being achieved. Having a regular video call with family and friends greatly enhances the care recipient’s mental and physical health.
